Meg’s Mountain Cheese is an alpine cheese made when the sheep are eating fresh grass in the hills of our farm.  Think of Gruyer or Swiss cheese, but this sheep’s milk cheese has a underlying gentle creamy taste.  It’s natural rind protects the cheese during the aging period while sealing in the creamy cheese body, creating a tasty wrapper.
We name this cheese Meg’s Mountain after Carolyn’s dog, Meg who is the protégé chief livestock dog on the farm.
